Even though her wedding took place there as well, she chose to do her bridal session at the beautiful Houmas House Plantation in Darrow, LA. I’ve been teaching wedding photography workshops throughout the country for 25 years now, and the Texas School of Professional Photography, where I’ve been teaching at for the last 15 yeas is one of my favorite places. It is the biggest photography school in the country and the most respected. Photographers from all over the world come to the Texas School to to study under the most talented photographers in the world, and we are honored to be one of the chosen instructors. We had another great year with a record sellout number of students. Held in Dallas again this year, we all had a really great time, and I was very happy to share my knowledge with such a great group of professionals. Chasity and Tariq’s Wedding Teasers

Chasity and Tariq were an Awesome couple to work with! He is a doctor at Ochsner Hospital and Chasity is in medical sales. The wedding turned out awesome, ceremony at sunset and reception following at the Audubon Golf Clubhouse in New Orleans. Everyone had a great time as you will see in the photos below.

Sharon and Travis’s Post Wedding Photos

Travis and Sharon were naturals in front of the camera. He emailed me almost a year ago, after they had gotten married and wanted to get some really romantic photographs of he and his wife, since the photographer they hired from the wedding turned out to be very disappointing and captured nothing good of the two of them together. After researching many photographers in the New Orleans and surrounding areas, they decided our unique style was exactly what they were looking for. Travis surprised his wife on their first wedding anniversary with a gift certificate from “Robert Faust Photography” for her long awaited session. With their busy schedules, and a few rainout days getting in the way, we finally connected on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon in New Orleans. Below are a few of their very romantic, contemporary images I captured showing the love of the two of them. Since this is what my goal is for every couple, I was very pleased with the results. Our signature style of lighting allowed us to create photos of them like no other. Enjoy!

Kandi and Stephen’s Engagements

Kandi seems like part of the family now! Her wedding will be the 4th one we’ve done in the family over the years and I basically watched her growing up. She and Stephen live in Houma, LA and wanted to do her engagement session there, so they chose a very nice wooded area housing an attorney’s office called Crescent Farm. First time I’ve been there and it turned out to be a great area for portraits. I just love when a couples true feelings come out in a session and I am able to capture the love between them. I’ve posted a few of them below.

We’re Coming on Strong in 2012

Our goal at every wedding is to “Get out of the Box” and create photographs that are more stunning than the previous wedding! So far, in 2012 we have already created some of the most stunning photographs that we’ve done in out entire career, and we are only just beginning! Heather and Nick’s Wedding

Heather and Nick are from L.A., Nick is a professional model there. However they wanted an old New Orleans style wedding, so what better place than the Big Easy French Quarter. St. Mary’s church was the location of the ceremony with the reception following at Pat O’s on the river. Even though it drizzled on and off, clear skies finally came through and allowed the Big Easy Brass Band to lead the way from the church to the reception playing “The Second Line” music all the way. It was a big experience for all of the out of town guests. The reception was so much fun and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their. It was a night to remember. Below are just a few of the images Leslie and I captured during the evening.

2011 was a great year for Leslie and I. We had the opportunity to work with so many awesome couples and capture the most special time of their lives. We had soooo many great images that we didn’t know where to start to pick our “Best of 2011″ picks! So we just grabbed a few for now to put up a post. We will be revising this post as soon we have time to go through some more of the many thousands of great images we captured throughout the year. Intimate French Quarter Photo Shoot

Melissa and James live in Sydney Australia. After traveling the world over they decided to get married in New Orleans French Quarter. They had a very small intimate wedding on the balcony of the historical Soniat House hotel. They are a very beautiful and we were very honored they hired us to capture all the special moments on New Years Eve.
